2020 CAMBRIA 2 BOOSTER SEAT RECALL

Subject: Diono Cambria 2 31200-US-01, 31201-US-01, and 31202-US-01

Diono has determined through continuous product testing, that certain Diono Cambria 2 booster seats (model numbers 31200 US-01, 31201-US-01, and 31202-US-01), and only those bearing the serial numbers listed below, fail to conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 213 (FMVSS 213). Only the serial numbers listed below are affected.

Out of an abundance of caution, Diono has elected to voluntarily conduct a recall on the affected seats. All affected seats will be remedied at no charge to the owner. Diono will ship a replacement backrest / headrest to all owners at Diono’s expense. Diono expects that the replacement headrests will be available for shipment by May 9, 2021, but the replacement headrests may be available before that time.

You may continue to use the seat as a backless booster while waiting for the replacement backrest. The affected units meet FMVSS 213 requirements when used as a backless booster.

Identify if your Cambria® 2 booster seat is affected. Look at the first 6 digits of your serial number sticker.

How to find your Serial Number

Step 3

Receive a copy of your online registration form notification. Follow the instructions and provide a photograph of the manufacturing sticker to the email provided.

Step 4

Receive your replacement backrest Remedy Kit and follow the kit instructions. Please remember to keep your existing Cambria 2 car seat cover as you will need this for the new backrest.


NOTE: No other DIONO products are included in this recall.

If your Diono Cambria 2 does not have the Serial numbers listed above, it is NOT included in this recall. Other Diono Cambria 2 booster seats do not have the identified issue and fully comply with FMVSS 213.

Subject: Diono Convertible Car Seat Recall – US ONLY
Products Included in Recall: Radian RXT, Radian R120, Radian R100, Rainier, Pacifica, Olympia

Through voluntary testing, Diono has determined that the subject products do not comply with FMVSS 213 when installed in vehicles with a lap-only belt (type 1). There is a risk of head and/or chest injury, although no injuries have been reported to date. In cooperation with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Diono has undertaken a voluntary recall of certain convertible car seat models manufactured between November 25th, 2013, and September 5th, 2017. These models listed below.

NOTE: No other products are included in this recall. If your Diono product was manufactured before November 25th, 2013, or after September 5th, 2017, it is NOT included in this recall.

How to find your Model Number, Month & Year of manufacture

What You Should Do:

1. If you have any of the recalled models, you should immediately contact our dedicated Customer Care team at this toll-free number 1-855-463-4666 for a Remedy Kit. The Remedy Kit includes a lap belt cushion for use in lap belt only installations, a new warning label, a replacement chest clip, and an instructional addendum.

2. In addition, if you are using the car seat installed forward facing with a lap belt only installation for children over 65 pounds, please contact us at 1-855-463-4666 or https://diono.com/contact-us/ so we can further assist you.

SEPTEMBER 2012

On Radian, Monterey and SantaFe car seats made before September 20, 2012, our company’s customer service contact phone number was changed from what is printed on your seat.

If you have one of these seats and would like a replacement label, please contact Diono Customer Service 855-463-4666 or dionoUSA@diono.com.

Chest Clip

If you have experienced an issue with the chest clip and you have a Radian seat manufactured before September 2008; please contact Diono Customer Service at 855-463-4666 for a replacement part.

Tilt Lock

If you have a RadianSL model car seat manufactured before March 2011 and feel you have experienced an issue with the tilt lock relating to installation compatibility, please contact Diono Customer Service at 855-463-4666 for a replacement part.
