At Diono, our commitment to child safety goes beyond providing innovative products – it extends to supporting communities in need. That's why when we heard about the unfortunate incident at the Alderwood Boys & Girls Club, where two vans and 22 booster seats were stolen in early February, we saw an opportunity to truly embody our mission statement and showcase what it means to make a #DionoDifference. In response to the incident, Diono has donated 30 brand new Solana® booster seats to the Alderwood Boys & Girls Club. These booster seats, renowned for their safety and comfort features, will guarantee that children traveling in the club's vans remain protected on each journey ahead.
To facilitate this donation, we welcomed Club Director Ruth Cassidy to the Diono headquarters, where she picked up the replacement seats. In addition to providing the seats, we conducted installation training with our Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) and Safety Advocate, Scott, ensuring that the seats are installed correctly for optimal safety. It's important to note that while the van pictured was for demonstration purposes only, the Solana® booster seats we donated will be utilized in other vans equipped with appropriate head supports for safely transporting children. Additionally, we are actively working with other manufacturers to provide a safe solution for the particular passenger van affected by the theft.
Our mission has always been to provide innovative solutions for safe family travel, and that includes ensuring that every child has access to the necessary safety equipment. We're proud to stand with the Alderwood Boys & Girls Club in their mission to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children, and we'll continue to support initiatives that prioritize child safety and well-being. By donating these booster seats, we hope to ease the #JoyoftheJourney for the children and staff at the Alderwood Boys & Girls Club, guaranteeing many safe rides ahead.
